Abstract
This article is a genealogical study of the Warao Indians living around the Daugauaja (Caño Dauguaja) and Jarajoje channels of the northern Amacuro Delta of the Orinoco River, Monagas State, northeastern Venezuela. The author deals with six nuclear families, four generations in depth, totaling in all 257 individuals (p. 1). Extensive kinship charts are presented in the text, accompanied by a catalog of the persons (by name) who appear in the study. Some additional data are also to be found in the source on endogamous and exogamous marriage patterns.
