Abstract
The Chorote (Choroti) section of this work is divided into five chapters: the country and the people, dwellings; dress and ornaments; modes of subsistence; food and drink, household furniture; narcotics and intoxicants, games and amusements; and family life and social organization, superstitions, illness and death. The emphasis throughout is upon description of material culture and comparisons with other South American groups.
