By: Park, Willard Z. (Willard Zerbe), d. 1965.

Abstract
This article is a culture summary of Kogi ethnography (1886-1926) and provides the researcher with a general background for future studies on this tribe. Park begins with a survey and commentary on various sources written about the Kogi, and then discusses geography, population statistics, and history. The ethnographic data follow, dealing with subsistence activities; village and house construction; engineering works; dress and ornament; burden carrying; types of manufacture; social organization; life cycle; recreational activities; religion; and mythology. Material culture is the main focus, while social and political organization as well as religion are only superficially touched upon.
