AbstractBrief abstract written by HRAF anthropologists who have done the subject indexing for the document
This source contains 11 traditional tales from Tonga plus a tale written by the author. Tupou Posesi Fanua is a Tongan folklorist who holds the position of Researcher of the Tongan Traditions Committee. The tales are those she heard as a child from her grandmother. The text appears in English on pages lettered A and in Tongan on pages lettered B. The author notes that the translation is loose and that the work is 'written for entertainment's sake' rather than as a linguistic study.
