Mr. Low, Colonial Secretary at Labuan, gathered his material on the people of Sarawak during some thirty months spent collecting plants and seeds. Much of the data presented deals with warfare, and inter-cultural relations, but some information is also presented on clothing, navigation and boats, agriculture, hunting and fishing, housing, marriage, burial, etc.
