Abstract
This is essentially a study of the geography and ecological adaptation of the O'odham (Papago) to their environment in southern Arizona and Sonora Mexico. In addition to a discussion on the origin of the name, the author provides detailed information on the topography, climate, fauna, and flora of the region, and concludes the article with a brief annotated bibliography on the O'odham people.
