Abstract
This ethnomedical study covers terms, attributes, and beliefs regarding illness. Using cluster analysis, the author finds that illnesses are classified according to internal or external causes, the seriousness of disease, and the stage of life in which it occurs, with little of the hot-cold distinction typical of Mesoamerica.
