Abstract
In this study of medical decision making, the types of treatment include: 1) home remedies; 2) by a traditional curer; 3) by a local paramedical professional; 4) by a doctor in a clinic. Choices are made based on seriousness of the disease, a family's own medical knowledge and faith, cost of treatment, and availability of transportation.
