Limited good or limited goods?: response to economic opportunity in a Tarascan pueblo

Abstract
This article critiques the theory of the "limited good" that was a psychological explanation for the lack of development and capital accumulation in the region. The rapid growth of a woodworking industry in the community the author studied demonstrates that local people do respond to economic opportunities and have the capacity to change.
