University of Oklahoma PressNorman • Published In 1963 • Pages: xxiv, 237 , 8 plates

By: León Portilla, Miguel.

Abstract
This source attempts to reconstruct Aztec thought—cosmology, metaphysics, theology, history, art, human nature, and the acquisition of knowledge—as revealed in Nahuatl texts. There is particular reliance on the accounts given by informants belonging to the last generation schooled in the concepts prior to the Conquest.
