Abstract
This source is a detailed historical study tracing U. S. Government-Jicarilla Apache relations in New Mexico and Arizona from the close of the Mexican War (1846-1848) up to the establishment of a permanent reservation in 1887. Much of the data contained in this work come from manuscripts in the National Archives, records of the Secretary of Interior and Secretary of War, other government documents, as well as pertinent primary and secondary source materials.
