Abstract
This source discusses the problems of a public health nurse in administering to the medical needs of a modern Jicarilla Apache family. The author notes that because of the family's distrust of 'white man's medicine', two members of the family died who otherwise might have been saved had they used the medications prescribed by the Public Health Service.
