Abstract
Despite being heavy on statistics, this sociological study of Salem, Utah, is a good description of what may be considered a typical Mormon village, including information on history and cultural background, the nature of social relationships, statistical characteristics of the population, socio-economic resources, institutions, and religious life. It includes a number of photographs.
