AbstractBrief abstract written by HRAF anthropologists who have done the subject indexing for the document
This document provides an excellent survey of Zuni agriculture both from a historical standpoint, and as it exists today. General agricultural techniques are discussed in detail with some particularly interesting data on irrigation and the 'waffle gardens'. Information is also to be found in this work on such specific crops as: maize, wheat, beans, squash, pumpkins, and cotton. Two sections of this document entitled 'Comments on Beans' and 'Comments on Cucurbita and Lagenaria' were written by Lawrence Kaplan and Thomas W. Whitaker respectively.
