Abstract
This report is the fourth in the Ramah Project series. Written by an ethnobotanist, it is a compendium of Navajo ethnobotany covering the flora of the Ramah area, Navajo plant nomenclature and uses. The report is particularly important for the coverage given medicinal and ceremonial uses of the plants. Also worth noting is the coverage given to veterinary applications. Data were gathered from approximately 3500 interviews with 56 informants. However, the reader should note that the reliability of the information is sometimes compromised by small number of respondents identifying the particular plant. Organizationally this is a technical source and the reader should consult OCM category 128 for a full explanation of symbols and abbreviations.
