AbstractBrief abstract written by HRAF anthropologists who have done the subject indexing for the document
This is an interesting summary of the Navajo tribe as it appeared to Colonel Don Fernando de la Concha, governor of the province of New Mexico. It is excerpted from a longer account of all the tribes under his jurisdiction which he prepared for the information of his successor, Lieut. Col. Don Fernando Chacon. The manuscript was translated and edited by Donald E. Worcester, Dept. of History, University of Florida. It is accompanied by a short preface.
