Abstract
This is an attempt to supplement knowledge of pre-recorded Navajo history based on linguistic and ethnological evidence, by analyzing archaeological findings from the ancient Navajo homeland, the Upper Blanco and Largo Canyons in northern New Mexico. The author, an archaeologist and applied anthropologist, reports evidence of Pueblo, Plains and Athabascan influence.
