Abstract
This source is a detailed study of hunting practices and associated rituals among the Hopi of today and in the traditional culture of the past. Although the main emphasis in the source is on hunting, there are abundant data scattered throughout the source dealing with other aspects of Hopi ethnography, such as the capture and keeping of eagles in the villages, and comparative information on similar hunting practices among other Pueblo peoples and tribal groups in the Southwest.
