Abstract
This monograph presents an interpretive list of Hopi proper names compiled by a Mennonite missionary who lived at Oraibi for twenty-five years and spoke the language fluently. The names are organized according to their lineage-sib-totem affiliations. the source contains a good deal of linguistic information, giving data on grammar, semantics and vocabulary.
