Abstract
This document reconstructs aspects of Puyallup-Nisqually culture and society based on interviews with informants born shortly after relocation to reservations in 1854, covering not their early experiences but, even more so, the conveyed memories of their elders reaching back to early contact times. Themes covered range from seasonal mobility within their traditional homeland to types of tools used, organized ceremonials, social groups, and inter-community relations.
