This short paper is a reply to an earlier paper by Julian Steward who claimed that polyandry was absent among the Northern Paiute. The author of this paper, basing his information on field data gathered in northern Nevada, presents known case histories and general information on the occurrence of polyandry among the Northern Paiute.
