Abstract
This article discusses the ways the Crow use sacred numerology to cope with uncertainty. They believe their world is energized by sacred powers, and being endowed with such powers by spirit beings allows individuals to influence the outcomes of natural and human events. The acquisition and transfer of sacred powers are central to the structure of culture and society, and received sacred ceremonies are accompanied by a numerological system essential to their successful performance and efficacy.
