Abstract
In this book, Jenness reports his two year stay among the Copper Inuit above the Arctic Circle in the Coronation Gulf area (including Bernard Harbor and Southwest Victoria Island). He wrote down in a narrative style his experience of living in a primitive society as an adopted son of an Inuit couple and member of the native family. This intimate account of the primitive life and culture is very valuable to the study of anthropology especially cultural change as well as ecology.
