The Stefánsson-Anderson Arctic Expedition of the American Museum: preliminary ethnological report
[s.n.] • XIV (1) • Published In 1914 • Pages: 395
By: Stefánsson, Vilhjálmur.
Abstract
This is a good ethnography on the Copper Inuit by an authority on the Inuit. It is full and detailed on economic activities and material culture, but many other aspects of the culture are treated very summarily. The expedition reported here was made between 1908 and 1912 during which time Stefánsson visited not only the Copper Inuit, but several other Inuit groups as well.
