This is a fascinating journal of a voyage of discovery to the Aleutians, Kodiak Island, and the adjacent coast of the mainland. It includes data on the journey by sea to the Alaskan coast, the first contact with the Koniags, Shelekhov's introduction of miscellaneous things to the natives, and a summary of fauna, flora, and miscellaneous customs of the natives.
