AbstractBrief abstract written by HRAF anthropologists who have done the subject indexing for the document
An excellent and comprehensive survey of Aleutian fauna, based on the author's own field work and the observations of O. J. Murie of the Fish and Wildlife Service and army personnel stations in the Aleutians. It contains descriptive material and an extensive list of Aleutian fauna. The detailed descriptions and the lists of animals and birds have been omitted, but summary material and ethnological information is included. This is the second article in a Smithsonian Institute study of the Aleutians. The bibliography for the whole study is included with the first article, 25: Collins.
