Abstract
Langsdorff visited the Pribilof Islands and Unalaska. At the time of his first visit, the Pribilof Islands were inhabited only by Russian hunters and a few Aleuts who had been brought there by the Russians. The author describes the geography of these islands and the living conditions of the Russian hunters. His account of the Pribilof Islands, however, does not add to the material on the Aleut and therefore is not included. His account of Unalaska has been almost completely included.
