This is a brief description of the holiday of Purim as observed by the Hasidim of Brooklyn, New York. The author provides information on some of the major elements of the celebration, with a particular focus on the Purim SHPIL or religious play. In this document the play entitled 'The Golem of Prague' is described. This is a folk drama of the sixteenth century in which the Rabbi of Prague saved the Jews from a blood bath predicted as the result of their having been falsely accused of killing Christian children and using their blood to make Passover MATZAS.
