Abstract
Although this source is somewhat deficient in over-all ethnographic coverage it does present a general background on the cultural history and tribal organization of the Western Bedouin settled in the northern and western portions of the United Arab Republic. Primary emphasis is placed on the history and tribal organization of Awlad 'Ali, with some additional data on the Jumei 'at, the Samalus and the Shiheibat.
