Abstract
This source is concerned mostly with the Mandinka. Materials on the Wolof are used mainly for comparative purposes. the village of Njau was studied for information on settlement pattern, land utilization, agricultural technique, individual income and expenditures. The report was made under the auspices of the Colonial Science Research Council.
