By: Schareika, Nikolaus.

Abstract
This is a fine-grained situational analysis of a marital dispute between two lineages that had come to occupy the same dry-season pasture, and how they negotiated a mutual arrangement. The author discusses how the Fulani moral code was appealed to by leaders in an effort to avoid clan fission and state mediation.
