This book is a community study of the Yemenite Jewish community living in the Israeli city of Kiryat Eliahu (a pseudonym). Emphasis in this study is on the maintenance of Yemenite ethnicity in Israel, with additional data on their cultural history, immigration to Israel, social life, general activities, values and ideals, and the degree to which they are integrated into Israeli society. Chapter 2, dealing with the Jews of Yemen, has not been indexed for OCM subjects.
