This document is a description of the Lur tribal divisions and geographical distribution in the heavily populated provinces of Luristan, Bakhtiari, Kuh Gilu, Boir Ahmed, and Fars Provinces (Mamasani District), Iran. In addition to the detailed information on the Lur tribal locations in each of the above provinces, the author also provides background data on the etymology of the term 'Lur', the language of the Lur people, their ethnic affiliation, and culture history.
