This study is about the Kurds who reside in the town of Rowanduz, Iraq. Masters had three objectives in this study: to describe the social organization of Rowanduz, to present a general ethnographic sketch, and to describe the relationship of Rowanduz to the central Iraqi government and the influence of these relationships on Kurdish life in Rowanduz.
