cultural diversity and twentieth-century foragers : an african perspective • Cambridge • Published In 1996 • Pages: 21-64
By: Silberbauer, George B..
Abstract
This is a 'thick' discussion of cultural diversity and change among the G/wi and warning against any easy generalizations and typologies of Kalahari Basarwa culture. Silberbauer looks at different aspects of G/wi culture and shows how they vary by band, family, and individuals. All in all, he presents a refreshing discussion of the play of culture and culture as play.
