Abstract
This chapter discusses infant care and feeding practices of the Turkana. The focus is on biological, behavioral and environmental constraints that influence infant care, breast-feeding and weaning practices in the nomadic Turkana setting. It also discusses some of the strategies mothers pursue to overcome these constraints.
