Abstract
This document describes the ecology of South Turkana which is characterized by fluctuations and unpredictability. Based on available records and closer observation of climate, weather, vegetations, ecological zones, soil types, topography and river system in a locality called Ngisonyoka, it discusses how the nomadic Turkana persisted in this environment by employing a variety of effective strategies of livestock management.
