AbstractBrief abstract written by HRAF anthropologists who have done the subject indexing for the document
This well-organized survey brings together in one volume the existing knowledge of Tiv culture. It contains information on demography, language, history, social organization, political structure, economic activities, kinship and marriage ties, treatment of birth and death, and religious beliefs. As a whole, it is an excellent source of reference on social relationships and behavior but inadequate for description of material culture.
