This government-sponsored study is a detailed account of land, reform legislation and problems of agricultural development in the state of Tamil Nadu. Comparative data from the various districts of the state are provided on the size of land holdings, prevalency of tenancy and land ownership, labor relations, wages, and rents. The study aims at suggesting a means for alleviating the plight of landless laborers.
