AbstractBrief abstract written by HRAF anthropologists who have done the subject indexing for the document
This document describes a process of change of the caste-structured relationships in the village of Thyagasamuthiram (referred to as TM in the text), in Tanjore District. The restructuring occurred as a result of organization of male agricultural labor in opposition to the landlord interests. It is a fine treatment of the relationship of caste to class.
