Women and the household economy: the case of the Punjab, Pakistan

Abstract
This study is based on a household survey in eight villages to discern the contribution of women to farm labor. Women's participation varied by household and farm size, caste, and crop. Their major contribution is in care of livestock and dairying. They have little control of farm income except what they earn from selling dairy products.
