Abstract
This document provides detailed account a Cambodian rural village based on ethnographic fieldwork undertaken in 1959-1960. Major themes covered include round of daily life, physical setting and settlment pattern, family and kinship organization, marriage sytem, economic activities, religious life, political organization, and relations with the central government. It also discusses aspects of village culture with broad resemblance to other Southeast Asian lowland groups such as the Thai, Laotians, and Burmese.
