Abstract
This is a general ethnography of the I (Lolo) people. The author traveled through this relatively unknown area to collect ethnographic data. A short history of Lolo-Chinese relations is given along with a description of material culture and social organization. The Wa-tzu class is analyzed in regard to its pseudo-slave relationship to the Heh-I class.
