Stanford University PressStanford, Calif. • Published In 1972 • Pages:

By: Wolf, Margery.

Abstract
This work gives a seasoned view of the life stages and paths available to rural Taiwanese women of the period (ca. 1960). Wolf's focus on women's lives allows the reader to see many aspects of family and kinship in a light not presented in other studies. Descriptive passages are supported by case-study style examples which serve to weave the threads of data into whole cloth.
