Abstract
This article contains extensive analysis of Winikina-Warao kinship terminology and marriage alliance patterns. Particular emphasis is given to the role of affine terminology and relationships in defining and elucidating marriage networks. The author concludes that the three-section marriage exchange pattern is consistent with kinship terminology and economic activity.
