Abstract
This article provides a survey of Warao cosmological, eschatological, and spiritual beliefs. Priest-shamans function as intermediaries between human beings and the supernaturals, who must also be placated through propitiation. Wilbert describes the Warao conception of the universe in vivid detail, and concludes with some hypotheses concerning ancient Warao ethnoastronomy.
