Abstract
When writing this report the author had worked among the Warao Indians of the Orinoco Delta as a Franciscan missionary for twelve years. After a critical review of existing records about the past of these Indians, Fray Moreno gives a very precise and detailed ethnographic description, always pointing out regional differences. However, the report does not cover kin relationship and kin terminology. Frequently the native words for material and ideational objects as well as activities are provided in the text.
