Abstract
This is a restudy of the same people studied in 1: Gillin. It is based largely on secondary data, e.g., general archival data and government census reports, supplemented by field work. The purpose is to study the history of forty years of cultural change, '…from the perspective of the regional influences upon a local population.' (p. 144) Particular emphasis is given to changes in demography and settlement patterns. One chapter is devoted to changes in social organization. Footnotes are located at the end of each chapter.
