Abstract
This source by Ralph Linton, a professional anthropologist who accompanied Handy to the Marquesas on the Bayard Dominick Expedition, is primarily of a descriptive nature. A very thorough description is given of houses, canoes, artifacts and utensils, weapons, musical instruments, clothing, ornaments, and data on all native crafts. The field study was supplemented by research in museum collections in the United States.
