Abstract
This document presents a great deal of descriptive information on the Ute and especially the Northern Utes. Jorgensen's primary interest is in religion--especially the Sun Dance. He presents a wide range of ethnographic data on both historical and contemporary Ute culture in order to give context to his information on the Sun Dance.
